Samsung 860 Evo M.2 drive problems
I have had this old 1 tb WD harddrive for about three years and decided to get a 1tb ssd for some increase in speed (i am not that savy in computers but putting them together is like lego to me). anyway, anytime i connect my ssd into the m.2 slot my computer uses that to boot from but since i havent put anything on it yet the computer tells me to use a different boot media. so i do, i take out the ssd again and let it run off of my hdd. i go to look at my ssd in device manager and it isn't present, just my hdd. so essentially, it is seen in my bios but boots from it without my saying so - and when i do let it boot from the hdd it cannot be seen on my computer or device manager, however many time i press rescan for hardware changes. I really don't know what to do right now. Any help would be great thanks.
