Video Card Question - Yojimbo - 01-02-2017 02:48 AM

Hopefully there is someone out there who knows about these things, because I sure don't.

I currently have this video card:

EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti SuperClocked 1024 MB, GDDR5, nVidia GeForce GTX 560 Chipset (900 MHz) 1GB DDR5 (4212 MHz) Dual Display DVI-I/Mini-HDMI PC Express 2.0 Graphics Card, DirectX 11, SLI Ready (01G-P3-1563-AR)

I will be running an application that recommends the following video cards.

Minimum Spec:

1GB dedicated GPU, or embedded Intel HD 4000/AMD R5

Recommended Spec:

2GB Radeon R9 200 series, or NVIDIA GTX 650

Premium Spec:

2GB Radeon R9 290 series, or NVIDIA GTX 970

Could someone tell me how my existing card compares to these, especially the Premium Spec? If I need to upgrade it, is it as simple as pulling out the old card and putting in a new one? And....does the old card have any monetary value for resale or would it be considered obsolete these days.

Thanks so much for your help.

Its sitting between Minimum and Recommended.

What application and what resolution are you running at?

Card is worth next to nothing used, maybe $20 to $30.

I will be using Zwift. I'll try out what I have and see how it gores before I do anything.
